We drive continuous improvement and maintain all of the Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers experience the Amazon smile. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and oversee material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment, such as Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems. Lead a team of service technicians and develop training plans, overseeing vendors for planned and emergency repairs. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc. Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used, and develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets. Perform physical requirements: move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects, and help train and mentor service and contract technicians.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience. Work flexible schedule/shift/area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 4+ years of repairing MHE, automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment. 4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 4+ years of electrical and electronic principles. 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards. 4+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or a related technical field. Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM requirements. 2+ years of PLC programming experience. 2+ years of robotics system components and controls experience.
