Onni Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager based in the Puglia/Bari region of Italy to oversee the redevelopment and construction of multiple hotel properties. This individual will serve as a vital link between our Vancouver, Canada-based construction, development, and design teams and our local Italian consultants/trades, ensuring seamless communication, cultural alignment, and technical accuracy across all project phases. What you'll bring: Key Responsibilities - Act as the primary liaison between the Canada and Italy teams, bridging differences in construction methods, terminology, and standards to ensure shared understanding and alignment. - Translate and explain Italian computations and building methodologies unfamiliar to Canadian-based construction teams as required - Translate and interpret design intent, specifications, and calculations into actionable plans for local execution, ensuring adherence to both Onni Group standards and Italian regulations. - Manage all project documentation, including contracts, budgets, permits, and reports, in both English and Italian. - Support design development by adapting drawings and details to comply with Italian building codes, sustainability standards, and site-specific conditions. - Prepare and monitor budgets, perform cost control and value engineering, and recommend cost-saving strategies. - Lead tendering and procurement processes, including RFPs, bid analysis, and contract awards, in accordance with local practices. - Oversee and coordinate local consultants, contractors, and suppliers—defining scopes, deliverables, and payment schedules. - Facilitate proactive communication between Italian stakeholders and Onni’s head office, ensuring clarity, accountability, and timely updates. - Track submittals, materials, and equipment to maintain project timelines and minimize delays. - Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, providing regular progress reports to the Vancouver team. - Manage permitting and inspection processes with municipal and regional authorities. - Review and validate change orders, invoices, and progress claims for accuracy and compliance. - Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies related to schedule, cost, and regulatory issues. - Participate in constructability and value-engineering reviews, ensuring that both Canadian and Italian perspectives are effectively integrated. - Perform additional project-related duties as required. What you'll need: - Minimum 5 years of project management experience in hotel, commercial, or mixed-use construction or renovation. - Proven experience with Italian building regulations, permitting processes, and contract law. - Bilingual fluency in both English and Italian (written and verbal) is essential. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultures and time zones. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a results-driven and proactive mindset. - Proven leadership and team-building skills in coordinating diverse project teams. - Proficiency with project management and construction software (MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or equivalent). - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines. - University degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred Additional Information: Language: - English (required) Work Location: In person
