DAINESE, a global leader in protective solutions for motorcycling and dynamic sports, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join its Helmets Research & Development department.The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative, high-performance motorcycle helmets, working on advanced mechanical design, industrialization, and continuous product improvement.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :Design complex mechanical components for motorcycle helmets (shells, EPS, ventilation systems, visor mechanisms, fasteners, etc.) using 3D CAD software (NX or CATIA).Collaborate with the Industrial Design, Industrialization, Quality, Homologations, and Operations teams to ensure design consistency and manufacturability.Prepare and update technical documentation: drawings, BOMs, technical specifications.Support the prototyping phase and pre-series validation, contributing to the resolution of technical problems.Liaise with suppliers and external partners to evaluate technical solutions and manage production issues.Ensure compliance with homologation regulations (ECE, DOT, etc.), quality standards, and internal requirements.Contribute to innovation by identifying new materials, technologies, and production processes.Provide technical support to Project Managers in defining timelines and development plans.REQUIREMENTS :Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive, sports equipment, or protective equipment sectors.Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD software: NX (Siemens), CATIA, and Teamcenter (PLM).Knowledge of materials and processes such as plastic injection molding, composites, and mechanical machining.Precision, analytical approach, and strong problem-solving skills.Skills in defining dimensional tolerances and functional analysis.Good knowledge of English (B2/C1).Experience with FEM analysis and mechanical simulations.Knowledge of Lean Design methodologies is considered a plus.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.Availability for business trips is required.Motorcycle driving license "A" is a plus.We believe in the strength of diversity and the value created when different perspectives come together.Being an inclusive company isn't a goal – it's the journey we choose to take every day.
