As R&D Team Leader in Monselice, you will join the Power Transformers Technology organization within the Transformers business unit, contributing to the successful roadmap execution defined for your team.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Coordinate a team of engineers to successfully execute and hand over R&D projects within budget, time, and scope as defined by the Technology Manager and Global Product Managers.
* Responsible for line management and the development of the team and team members.
* Lead and distribute work tasks, support the team and the project managers to drive the projects, implement existing and further develop efficient work processes to increase productivity and prepare annual budgets and follow up execution.
* Collaborate directly with other R&D teams, different Hitachi Research Centers, receiving factories and engineering teams worldwide, with a local focus for cross‑functional interaction.
* Encourage and support the team to challenge existing technology, propose projects and processes contributing to global plans and processes.
* Directly engage as a team member in some R&D projects, contributing with technical expertise.

Your background
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Computational Science).
* More than 5 years of experience in engineering or R&D activities, preferably in Transformers business.
* Preferably have been in a management position or have proven equivalent experience of leading teams.
* Experience of larger and multi‑year projects is a plus.
* Strong character, determined, result‑oriented, open‑mind, with a deep sense of ownership to deliver assigned targets.
* Skilled at managing different types of people, able to coach, motivate and inspire others; innovative, creative and actively challenge existing approaches.
* Familiar with R&D project management practices and processes; work in a structured way applying relevant methods, procedures and tools.
* Strong communication skills; English and Italian, spoken and written, are good.
