The Know Your Client application enables advisors to collect information about new potential customers, calculate their risk, and decide in a workflow to accept or reject the customer as a client. All clients are reviewed on a periodic schedule. The solution uses REACT as front end, Java/Spring Boot as backend, and an Oracle Exa‑Database for storage. The instance is hosted on‑premises on application servers. A migration of the hosting to Google Cloud and a rollout of new instances in new locations is in progress.
We are looking for a Business Functional Analyst to help our client create the next big thing in digital banking.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Have overall financial services acumen to connect regulatory policy changes/language to business requirements to functional specifications for solution development and implementation.
2. Create and execute roadmaps that focus on solution development and implementation; present key timelines, milestones, and status updates in the absence or in conjunction with a Product Owner to senior management and hold strategic discussions independently.
3. Refine business requirements and align globally across all 7 locations in the CE, Ger, APAC and US regions.
4. Prepare senior management slides with strong communication capabilities to package a problem statement clearly to both IT and non‑IT stakeholders, and influence via email, Word and PowerPoint effectively.
5. Align with other key stakeholder groups (such as project management, software engineering, vendor) to support the link between the business divisions and the solution providers for all aspects of identifying, implementing, and maintaining solutions.
6. Document requirements, processes and controls in Confluence and Jira.
7. Support for maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.
8. Pre‑go‑live change management, assisting and supporting SIT and UAT phases.
9. Pick up production issues and take full ownership until resolution, coordinating with all required parties in the
