Our customer is a very profitable, successful international manufacturing group with multiple production sites across Italy, and a strong global presence. The company operates in a dynamic industrial environment and is currently further strengthening and professionalising its HR organisation in Italy.
About the position:
We are looking for a Senior HR Manager to take ownership of HR operations across several key sites in Italy, with a strong focus on Southern Italy.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will build, professionalise, and harmonise HR structures in an environment that is currently evolving. You will act as the central HR point of contact for Italy, working closely with regional and international HR leadership while supporting local management teams.
The role offers a unique opportunity to shape HR from the ground up, introduce standards, and significantly improve processes and compliance across multiple locations.

- Local Managing Directors and Plant Managers across Italy

- CSO and Managing Director
Your Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of HR activities across several Italian sites (approx. 380 employees)
- Act as the main HR interface between Italy and international headquarters
- Build and strengthen HR structures, processes, and standards
- Ensure compliance with Italian labour law and internal company policies
- Review and harmonise employment contracts, templates, and HR documentation
- Lead the evaluation and optimisation of payroll provider structures
- Support and advise local management teams on HR-related topics
- Act as a true HR business partner, providing guidance and constructive challenge where needed
- Collaborate with existing local HR contacts and support their development
- Drive standardisation and transparency across all HR processes
- Support labour relations topics, including interaction with unions where applicable
- Contribute to the integration and alignment of Italian sites within the wider international organisation
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience in a senior HR generalist or HR manager role
- Strong knowledge of Italian labour law (CCNL knowledge is an advantage)
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven track record in HR operations, administration, and process improvement
- Experience working with or changing payroll providers
- Solid understanding of both blue-collar and white-collar HR environments
- Experience in a multi-site and/or matrix organisation
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of resilience, independence, and ownership
- Ability to operate in a hands-on and evolving environment
