Reservations Manager

Description
The incumbent of this position is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Reservations department
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring that all incoming enquiries are handled within a maximum of 24 hours
* Working with the revenue director to update the PMS codes and setup when necessary
* Assisting the sales and events managers in effectively dealing with all commission and accounts queries
* Ensuring all necessary billing instructions are applied to reservations
* Making sure that the team is fully informed of all rates, including negotiated and promotional rates, and that any new promotions and packages are communicated effectively to all relevant departments
* Ensuring that the team answers all incoming telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Identifying and assisting with the training needs of team members
* Liaising with the Sales team to resolve any issues, and handle site inspections and office visits information in the PMS
* Ensuring that all VIP and special requests information is efficiently saved in the PMS
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Deep knowledge of Opera PMS
* At least 2 years of previous experience in the hospitality business (luxury field is preferred)
* Excellent proficiency in Italian and English language, both written and spoken.
