BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer – C&I Projects
Position OverviewThe BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (C&I) is responsible for the successful delivery, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.This role takes full ownership of the project from contract handover through installation, commissioning, and after-sales service, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and according to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Handover & PlanningTake over BESS projects from the sales and presales teams after contract signing.Review technical proposals, system configurations, and commercial scope.Develop project execution plans including timelines, resource planning, and site coordination.Confirm system design and project requirements with internal teams and customers.2. Project Delivery & ImplementationManage the end-to-end delivery of C&I BESS projects .Coordinate with EPC partners, installers, and subcontractors for system installation.Ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budget.Monitor site work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Manage equipment logistics, delivery, and installation activities.3. Commissioning & System IntegrationLead or support BESS commissioning activities, including:System functional testingEMS / PCS / BMS integrationGrid connection and verificationWork with engineering teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.Ensure the system operates according to performance specifications.4. Customer Support & After-Sales ServiceProvide technical support and service coordination after project commissioning.Manage maintenance schedules and service activities.Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with OEMs or suppliers if needed.Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.5. Documentation & ReportingPrepare project documentation including:Commissioning reportsAs-built documentationOperation and maintenance manualsTrack project progress and provide regular internal updates.
QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.3–7 years of experience in renewable energy, BESS, solar + storage, or power systems.Experience in C&I energy storage or distributed energy projects preferred.Understanding of BESS components including:Battery systemsPCS / invertersEMS / monitoring systemsExperience in project delivery or field engineering .
