AppScan Technical Advisor – Job Description
Summary:
The AppScan Technical Advisor is responsible for growing new license, subscription & support, and services revenue for AppScan within HCL Software.
The Technical Advisor will ensure the customer's requirements are met with a software solution, conduct product demonstrations, workshops, Proof of Concepts (PoC's), and work with HCL Software Sales teams to shape and progress opportunities.
The Technical Advisor is a Pre-Sales customer-facing role that takes a solution-based approach to identifying, progressing and closing both software and professional services opportunities.
They will also work closely across HCL Software sales, product management, professional services, development, support, and client advocacy.
Experience:
The individual should have 5+ years of technical experience and a strong willingness to work in enterprise software Pre-Sales.
The role typically requires a 4-year university degree.
Responsibilities & Core KPPs:
Technically progress opportunities by informing customers of best practices and shaping decisions and outcomes
Lead technical responses to customer RF(x)'s for AppScan
Lead AppScan demonstrations, proof of concepts, technical innovation workshops, channel enablement
Become a technical product expert in all facets of AppScan
Assist Sales with presenting Professional Services
Contribute to technical collateral for re-usable sales purposes
Work collaboratively across the HCL Software Sales and Services team, to drive results
Be willing to develop technical skills, learn new products and expertise in every industry
Leverage existing relationships or commitment to expand network via LinkedIn, or other social platforms to drive customer contacts, relationships, and product awareness
Desired Technical Skills and Experience:
Familiar with common Application Security Testing technologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, IaC, IAST, RASP, CSPM, API Sec, etc.
),
Familiar with modern software development languages (e.G., NET framework languages, Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)
Experience with at least one scripting language
Experience with any of the following Application Security products (AppScan, Snyk, Checkmarx, Invicti, OpenText (Fortify), Synopsys, Sonatype, Imperva, F5, Burp, etc.)
Good knowledge of developer and DevOps methodologies, trends, ecosystems, and best practices
Products:
The role will primarily be dedicated to AppScan and AppScan on Cloud
Travel:
Up to 50%+ travel
