As the EHS Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining local EHS strategies fully aligned with Marelli's corporate and divisional policies and processes, and acts as RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) for the Corbetta site. The role ensures legal compliance, fosters a safety and sustainability culture, and represents EHS operational leadership across the production plant, warehouse, offices, and laboratories.
Formal RSPP Responsibilities For Corbetta
Officially act as RSPP for the Corbetta site (plant, warehouse, offices, labs)Lead risk assessment processes, prepare and update prevention and protection plansMaintain documentation and ensure periodic review of safety proceduresCollaborate with the employer (Datore di Lavoro), occupational doctor, managers, and supervisors on all EHS mattersInterface with RLS (Worker safety representatives) for information exchange, consultation, and improvement proposalsCoordinate emergency management (drills, procedures, responsible persons)Adapt and apply corporate/divisional EHS procedures to local needs, ensuring site-wide deploymentTranslate global and divisional EHS requirements into local processes and practicesEnsure compliance with legislative requirements regarding environment, health, and safetyInvestigate incidents, near misses, and nonconformities, lead root cause analysisDevelop and drive corrective/preventive actionsShare lessons learned and best practices via workshops, bulletin, digital platformsBe responsible for EHS MMS Pillar successLaunch and coordinate sustainability initiatives (e.G., waste, water reduction projects)Monitor and analyze health, safety and environmental KPIs, report progress to management and corporateSupport and track progress toward Marelli's sustainability targetsIdentify and implement solutions to reduce environmental impact (waste sorting systems, water recycling, eco-friendly equipment)Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with mandatory EHS training requirementsPromote awareness, engagement, and participation in EHS initiativesBuild and manage relationships with regulatory bodies (ASL, ARPA, INAIL, Fire Brigade, etc.), consultants, suppliersServe as the company's point of contact during inspections, audits, and external reviewsPlan and deliver communication campaigns (safety weeks, sustainability days, posters, digital)Foster leadership and employee involvement in EHS-related activitiesUniversity degree in technical/scientific disciplinesMinimum 5-7 years proven EHS experience, ideally in automotive/manufacturing sectorsValid RSPP qualification as required by Italian regulationsAdvanced knowledge of EHS laws and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Auditor certification will be a plusGood knowledge of sustainability matterProject management skills in sustainability/environmental topicsProficiency in digital corporate tools (reporting, knowledge sharing, data analysis)Good English proficiency
