Brain Technologies is searching for a skilled and proactive Chief System Engineer.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and governance of functional system projects within the Engineering & Development (E&D) department. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring compliance with technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The candidate will be responsible for:
* Lead the planning and execution of system projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Monitor and report on project KPIs, including time, cost, and CAPEX attainment ("CP3" vs Initial Request).
* Manage the electrical/electronic Bill of Materials (BoM), ensuring efficient reuse of components and introduction of new variants.
* Implement Agile methodologies, including Kanban board and backlog management in Jira.
* Develop and manage project schedules using MS Project, integrating timelines for component testing, system validation, and product integration.
* Ensure alignment across E&D and laboratories for seamless delivery of system-level outcomes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system-level interfaces and requirements.
* Lead DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) efforts for system robustness.
* Support product launches by addressing variances (e.g., NVR vs NPI) and troubleshooting functional issues.
* Maintain and update the catalog of functional systems in Jama.
* Develop and manage system specifications in alignment with product requirements.
Technical Skills:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Systems Engineering preferred) or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in system project management and development within engineering, product development with high electronics content, or a related domain.
* Proven track record in managing cross-functional projects and delivering results within defined timelines and budgets.
* Proficiency in project management tools: MS Project, Jama, Jira, and Team Center.
* Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools.
* Familiarity with IoT concepts, including serialization, provisioning, and OTA.
* Strong understanding of functional systems architecture and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.
Nice to Have Certifications:
* AI & ML Project Management (CPMAI).
* Project Management Professional (PMP).
* INCOSE Certification in Systems Engineering.
* MITxPRO training in Systems Engineering.
