Production Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Based in Tokyo, we are looking for a Production Specialist on a 12‐month contract to support the content team with producing and delivering premium audio content. The role supports the Content Lead in managing and organizing production flows, talent management, studio coordination, and quality control to meet Audible's high standards.
Responsibilities
- Work with the content lead to plan and execute an efficient production flow and maintain strong pipelines to serve objectives and KPIs of the Japan Content team.
- Oversee a roadmap of content production projects, coordinating prioritization and resourcing with internal and external project owners.
- Work in conjunction with stakeholders to execute infrastructure expansion and ensure technology supports expansion and product features.
- Scope business and functional requirements for relevant stakeholders to create and enhance new system processes and tools inclusive of AI.
- Communicate upcoming changes to operational standard work based on tech and product enhancements.
- Manage all production flows and processes, seeking better and scalable solutions as needed.
- Define high‐quality audio experience standards and set up production pathways to ensure Audible's quality standards are met across a range of high‐volume content formats.
- Coordinate effectively among cross‐functional teams, particularly Audible's audio production team, to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with editorial producers on the workflow of editorial content through the Audible production pipeline, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Oversee all other elements of the production process.
- Maintain inventory of all submissions, manuscripts, and projects in development for the editorial team.
- Execute on behalf of other team members on all production requirements needed across services, including negotiations and closing deals.
- Track production status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Partner with Content Operations in other marketplaces to ensure the local Production team has the most effective tools and production trackers, addressing bottlenecks with industry best practices.
- Track the production budget.
- Create and maintain a database of creators, narrators, and directors, and identify opportunities to expand Audible Studios' network.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with program or project management.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with data analysis.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under deadline, and get things done with a teamwork‐oriented attitude.
- Skill in organizing talent, director, and studio databases.
- Willingness to conduct manual tasks to organize all data regarding production.

- Passion for content, talent, creators, and studios.
- Self‐motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Exceptional communication skills, a passion for customers, and a great appetite for reading.
- Experience with a literary publication, magazine, website, or publishing business.
- Ability to organize highly diversified data.
- English communication: written and spoken (nice to have; training support is available).
