We are currently supporting a leading technology consultancy in the search for an experienced Managed Services Manager to join their growing operations team in Milan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior IT professional with strong Managed Services and Service Delivery experience to lead operational services across enterprise environments, with a particular focus on cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure).
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing service delivery, ensuring SLA performance, driving operational improvements, and acting as the key link between technical delivery teams and customer stakeholders.
Managed Services Manager – Key Responsibilities
Managed Services Delivery
* Oversee the delivery of managed IT services across infrastructure and cloud environments
* Ensure services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs and operational standards
* Manage day-to-day service performance, incident management and operational escalations
Service Management & Governance
* Implement and manage ITIL-aligned service management processes
* Track service performance metrics and lead regular service review meetings
* Ensure strong governance across incident, problem and change management processes
Cloud & Infrastructure Oversight
* Support managed services delivery across cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure
* Work closely with engineering teams to ensure stable and scalable cloud operations
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cloud platforms and managed environments
Stakeholder Management
* Act as the key point of contact for operational service delivery
* Build strong relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders
* Provide reporting on service performance, operational health, and improvement plans
Operational Leadership
* Coordinate cross-functional teams delivering managed services
* Identify opportunities to improve automation, service maturity and operational efficiency
* Support service transition activities for new customers or new services
Managed Services Manager – Key Skills Required
* Proven experience working in Managed Services, IT Service Delivery, or Service Management xivgfpx roles
* Previous experience in a Service Manager, Service Delivery Manager, or similar leadership position
* ITIL certification (ITIL v3 or ITIL v4) is required
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
* Strong experience managing enterprise managed services environments
* Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
* Strong understanding of ITIL service management processes including incident, problem, and change management
* Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, service reviews, and operational performance
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to manage service escalations and drive continuous service improvement
