Job Title: Senior Culinary Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food in our kitchens.
Key Responsibilities:
* Food Production Management
Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates all direct reports to ensure seamless food production and high-quality dishes.
* Culinary Expertise
Must have an exceptional understanding of culinary terms, ingredients, and cooking techniques to maintain consistency in taste and quality.
* Recipe Management
Responsible for reviewing and maintaining recipe folders, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to company standards.
* Team Coordination
Cordinate and supervise team members assigned to their section, assign tasks, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
* Quality Control
Ensure that all food products meet quality and safety standards, adhering to Public Health regulations and HACCP protocols.
* Cost Management
Control production levels, recommend cost-saving ideas, and optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and excess costs.
* Communication
Effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Education
A culinary school degree is required, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
* Skills and Abilities
Strong management, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills are essential.
* Knowledge and Experience
Familiarity with kitchen operations, food safety, and quality control procedures is necessary.
