PpJob ID: | Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. /p pThe successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions. Our technicians operate and maintain AWS DCs’ world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure. In addition to technical operations and maintenance, the successful candidate will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures. /p pThe role requires a motivated, self‑managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence. Work follows a process‑oriented approach: the individual needs strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities. /p pThe successful candidate will be part of the Engineering and Facilities team and will be responsible for maintaining availability for customers; ensuring maintenance and operation of technical infrastructure; and the upkeep and operation of the DC facility. /p h3AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) /h3 pAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture. /p h3ENGINEERING FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE /h3 ul liOperational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS’s), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), and Transformers. /li liTroubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). /li liTake daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log‑taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.). /li liSupervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance. /li liManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with health safety regulations). /li /ul h3Working location /h3 pOur data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid driving license is required for this role. /p h3Work Schedule /h3 pThis is a 100% in‑person onsite position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure.
