Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Business Affairs Manager, responsible for supporting production operations and workflow with an emphasis on ensuring contract negotiations with local Brazilian talent. We are looking for someone fluent in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish, who is highly familiar with local laws and regulations. You will ensure all contracts and all produced content is legally cleared and compliant with required standards, laws and regulations. You will manage and maintain ongoing business affairs needs such as process workflows, vendor and talent contracts, renewals and extensions, rights and clearance reviews, liability and coverage, tracking management and maintaining of shared data systems. Some support will be provided to US Business Affairs partners for similar work.
This is a part‐time, contract position, with an anticipated 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Assist legal and marketing partners to draft SOWs, contracts and define terms pertaining to production & post production.
Create and negotiate Talent Engagements and Co‐Marketing Agreements, coordinating with legal and production teams to create the applicable contract.
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the legal partners to streamline negotiation, reduce reviews and turnaround time.
Track and update all DMS systems for licensing, talent and clearance needs.
Renew agreements and licenses as directed.
Facilitate invoice review, submissions, tracking and processing systems.
Manage vetting and clearance of all talent, stock music, video and imagery.
Assess and evaluate production issues from creative briefing through project wrap.
Collaborate with cross‐functional partners on creative risk assessment.
Review contents from concepting to legal review for risk assessment, and execute any clearance needs (including social media and ensuring compliance with legal requirements).
Review the production and execution of creative marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social, events, and more; supporting production, including audio, video and graphic production, photo shoots, and social media campaigns.
Manage administrative tasks such as budget tracking, vendor management, and asset organization.
Required Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in production, marketing, or business affairs.
Fluent in both English and Brazilian Portuguese.
Knowledge of Brazilian contract law.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience with talent contracting necessary.
Experience with social media content production.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm approach.
Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
G‐suite expertise.
Proactive problem solver.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Knowledge of Mexican contract law.
Fluent in Spanish.
Compensation & Benefits
This temporary contract role offers a salary of 80-85 reais/hour depending on experience.
