Purpose of the position
As Off Installation Analyses Engineer Junior you belong to the TLSEATRUN3 Department at Fano Offshore Engineering Hub in the Asset Based Services business line (no Drilling). You support the team by performing special analyses for offshore pipe‑line design .
In particular, static and dynamic FE analyses using ABAQUS are executed to assess and guarantee the structural integrity of the pipeline under functional (process loads), environmental and accidental conditions. The design follows international standards, company specifications and internal procedures. You support the Lead of this discipline during all main stages of project execution starting from objective definition, analysis, solution definition and write‑up/presentation of outcomes.
How can you support us?
- Supporting the Lead during executive projects, bids or FEED respecting time, costs and objectives.
- Performing advanced FEM analysis based on ABAQUS solver for unconventional and special tasks.
- Contributing to the development of new methods and procedures for novel and special analyses.
- Contributing to the development of internal tools based on main programming languages such as MATLAB or Python.
- CFD and local thermal analysis.
- Managing projects and tasks assigned by team members.
- Documenting findings and delivering clear technical results.
What are we looking for?
Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering
Background: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
Languages: English B1 or B2
Technical Knowledge: numerical analysis, ABAQUS, programming languages (MATLAB/Python), CAD, CFD codes
Some travelling will be expected within EMEA, Africa, worldwide, etc.
