The missions of TRD-ARD are multiple, from scientific innovation to the development, qualification and validation of new analytical methods for critical attributes of vaccines. The resource will participate with an assigned project becoming an added scientific value to the NMR unit.
Project intern description
The main purpose of the internship is the study of polysaccharides with the aim of applying NMR methods to glycoconjugates.
:
- Attend internal seminars about analytical techniques used in ARD, in particular NMR.
- Learn how to acquire, process and analyze NMR spectra
- Perform bibliographic searches to assess the state of the art of NMR applications on polysaccharides and glycoconjugates
- Identify the glycoconjugates to be studied by NMR
- Perform a complete study of the selected systems using NMR and other analytical techniques
- Write a document reporting the performed activities
- Knowledge of the basics of Vaccines and the role of glycoconjugates as antigens
- Knowledge of the use of NMR as the main technique to study vaccine components
- Knowledge of the scientific way of working to characterize antigensby the way of analytical methods.
