All about the role:
The Plant Purchasing Manager is responsible to lead the site Purchasing team; support and develop a structured, proactive, collaborative, and robust strategic direct material sourcing plan. Balance tactical execution for Direct Material projects while collaborating withcross functionalteams, (Quality, Product Line, R&D, ENG, Operations, Finance….), to execute on time, with best in class Quality and Cost.
In detail, you will:
* Develop / deploy KPI’s and performance metrics for the Site Purchasing team
* Conduct performance appraisals
* Structure and align team priorities to meet the needs of the business
* Drive a continuous improvement culture
* Direct Material cost control
* Strategic / early supplier engagement
* Cost modelling & cost breakdown roll out
* RFQ, sourcing activity, toolingcapacity / utilization
* Negotiations, Contracts, Sourcing Board participation
* Work with Engineering, R&D, and Product Line to quantify investment required for components and technology
* Global purchasing strategy deployment
* Risk management
* Active contribution in projects covering purchasing roles & responsibilities
* Provide various direct material tracking reports, cost/spend analysis, and sourcing updates
Who you are:
* University Degree required (Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain degree preferred)
* Minimum of five years of relevant experience
* Project management, cost structure knowledge and analytics
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
* Strategic vision and tactical execution
* Capable of setting priorities, meeting deadlines with strong initiative and pro-active mindset
* Strong decision making,problem solvingand analytical skills with particular attention given to detail and accuracy
* Exceptional level of ethics, integrity, and judgment
* Ability to manageworkingin a dynamicfast pacedwork environment
* Fluent in English. Any other European language is an asset
