Ph3About The Position /h3 pWe're looking for an experienced Lead Regulatory Compliance professional to join our growing team.
You'll be at the forefront of ensuring Alma's operations meet the highest regulatory standards while supporting our ambitious expansion plans across Europe.
This role is based in Milan.
/p h3YOUR MISSION /h3 pAs a key member of the Compliance Internal Control team, you'll translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions that enable Alma to operate with confidence, and will be a main contact for local regulators.
You'll be the trusted advisor for our operational teams, the strategic partner for new product launches, and the bridge between Alma and our regulatory supervisors (ACPR, BoI...).
/p h3What You'll Be Doing /h3 h3Regulatory Advisory Guidance /h3 ul liAdvise and translate regulatory requirements to Alma's operational teams, particularly Sales, Financial Security, Operations, and Product.
/li liAct as the main point of contact for regulatory matters, providing clear guidance on compliance obligations.
/li liServe as a trusted compliance advisor ensuring alignment between commercial goals and regulatory adherence.
/li /ul h3Compliance Framework Risk Management /h3 ul liCentralize and maintain Alma's regulatory compliance procedures, ensuring they remain current and fit-for-purpose.
/li liProactively identify compliance risks through cross-functional projects including: /li ul liNew product and feature reviews.
/li liPartnership assessments and due diligence.
/li liOutsourcing approvals.
/li liIntermediary relationships in banking and payment services.
/li /ul liDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
/li /ul h3Regulatory Intelligence Reporting /h3 ul liOwn the regulatory watch function, staying ahead of emerging regulations across our European markets.
/li liMonitor regulatory developments (PSD2, PSD3, AMLD, DORA, etc.) and assess their impact on Alma's business.
/li liSubmit and develop scalable regulatory reporting processes in collaboration with Finance and Financing teams.
/li liParticipate in preparing and submitting regulatory reports to ACPR and other relevant authorities.
/li /ul h3European Compliance /h3 ul liSupport Alma's expansion by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in neighboring jurisdictions (Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain).
/li liCollaborate with local teams and external advisors to navigate multi-jurisdictional compliance challenges.
/li /ul pYou will collaborate closely with the Financial Security, Product, Sales and Legal teams.
/p pYou will report to the Head of Compliance Internal Control in charge of the Regulatory, Financial Security and Internal Control teams.
/p h3About You /h3 ul li6-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the banking, payments, or fintech sector.
/li liDeep technical expertise in EU (especially French and Italian) banking regulatory frameworks: /li ul liPayment Services Directive (PSD2/PSD3).
/li liAnti-Money Laundering Directives (AMLD5/AMLD6).
/li liConsumer credit regulations (DCC2).
/li /ul liDirect exchange with regulatory authorities (incl. ACPR, Bank of Italy, ECB, or equivalent EU supervisors).
/li liHands-on experience with regulatory reporting, compliance programs, and policy development.
/li liInternational and multicultural working environment experience.
/li liFluency in Italian and English (written and spoken), French is a plus.
