**Position overview**:
Are you interested in sourcing indirect goods and services, ensuring safe, competitive, high quality and timely supply, for assigned plant(s) and categories within region?
We are looking for you, young and ambitious buyer, who is looking for an opportunity in global, diverse and multicultural organization!
allnex is the leading company globally for industrial coating resins, crosslinkers and additives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide allnex production sites with sufficient, reliable and compliant sources of supply of indirect goods, with competitive prices and on-spec deliveries;
- Implement defined sourcing strategies, leading the approach within the cluster in alignment with Procurement Manager Indirect and own peers;
- Draft and execute (supplier selection, negotiation and contract definition) sourcing strategies for assigned categories of indirect goods and services, developing knowledge of internal needs and external factors;
- Set savings plan, targets and monitor suppliers performance;
- Seek synergy, and where appropriate, support, ensuring effective collaboration with cross functional stakeholders;
- Act as primary contact towards key suppliers and develop strong partnerships with these suppliers for assigned categories within the Region. Make sure supplier performance against agreed upon key performance indicators is reviewed and action plans for continuous improvement are defined.
- Manage cost saving pipeline to ensure regional targets for cost reduction are met;
- Manage OWC reduction programs within assigned categories regionally.
**Required skills and experience**:
- Solid prior work experience (2+ years) in sourcing or buying role in chemical (or comparable) industry;
- Higher education, minimum Bachelor degree, in Economics, Engineering and/or MBA or equivalent by experience;
- Good negotiation & contracting skills combined with hands-on mentality;
- An ability to drive continuous improvement under demanding circumstances;
- An ability to perform market, supplier and product analysis and present data in a thorough and critical manner;
- Excellent English and Italian skills, diplomacy and good communication skills (oral and written);
- Demonstrated capability of managing cross-functional and international projects and working in different cultures;
- Very good verbal and written/presentation communication skills, ability to provide technical writing and communications;
- Proficient PC user, SAP skills would be considered as strong advantage.
