Our Customer, an international corporation that produces industrial machines, is looking for: LOGISTIC PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST - full remote This position will facilitate the development and execution of long-term strategies that optimize quality, technology, risk mitigation and total cost for the local category (SG&A Logistic across Europe). Prior to strategy development, this position will be required to conduct a current state analysis to identify and evaluate spend and supplier activity, as well as procurement, reporting and data collection processes.In addition to regional responsibilities, this position is also responsible for defining global strategy (Logistics) as well as ensuring their implementation across all Europe businesses. Main responsibilities: - To ensure the implementation of the local and global strategy, the scope of activity comprises: Leading / supporting local / global negotiations with local / global suppliers. Negotiation of local and global support contracts aiming efficiency. Act as an expert in the strategic sourcing process within logistic categories including strategy execution, contract negotiations and cost reductions; - Process management, through the creation and optimization of the purchasing process, complying with the purchasing process internally, in order to guarantee legal and financial compliance; - Ensure the achievement of European business unit/division results through the management of relevant procurement indicators (KPIs); - Mitigate risk by implementing the overall strategy between plants, leveraging technology, improving processes and systems, and reducing overallfreight costs. Also responsible for the global cost reduction management of the SG&A and Logistics categories regarding corporate spending in Europe regions, which drives a new vision of global purchasing through technology, innovation and sustainability. Requirements: - Degree in Engineering, Management, Economy, Logistics, Foreign trade; - Significant experience in procurement; - Experience in ERP; - Fluent knowledge in English;
