Experteer OverviewIn this role you guide electrical design for VDC's data-center projects as the client-side technical authority. You drive design direction, lead consultants, and ensure standards, quality and safety from concept through operations. You collaborate across teams to translate requirements into scalable, modular solutions and contribute to profitability and delivery excellence. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge design, compliance with evolving regulations, and a path to shape Vantage's future electrical design framework.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design for early-stage feasibility, test-fit and concept designManage external electrical engineering partners and align them with VDC standards and business objectivesCollaborate with product teams to create future electrical design solutions responding to customer needs and new techDrive project-level tasks, milestones, and design reviews with consultantsSupport field-inspection, submittal reviews, RFIs and engineering studies during constructionVisit job sites for field investigations and coordinationDevelop standardized OFCI electrical equipment in the inventory and support procurement with technical adviceGenerate high-value engineering ideas with cost-benefit perspectivesEngage with internal/external partners to capture lessons and resolve recurring issuesDeliver designs using DfMA principles for modular, prefabricated solutionsDevelop fungible building blocks for scalable, repeatable designs across projectsRepresent the business in technical workshops with customersReport weekly on progress, blockers, risks, and prioritiesCoordinate with multi-discipline teams to optimize product delivery to OperationsSupport Sales during tours, RFPs, and customer meetings for standard/bespoke solutionsCoach junior engineers and participate in design team meetingsEnsure design standards and specifications are met during constructionConduct value engineering analyses and ROI/IRR-based system recommendationsAssist in product development and balance cost with operational sustainabilityPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned by managementQualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent10 years of experience in electrical power design and construction (15+ preferred)Accredited engineering credentials preferred (Chartered Engineer in EU / Professional Engineer in NA)Mission Critical design, construction or customer-side experience (5+ preferred)Experience with EU construction markets & regulationsProficiency in BlueBeam, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Procore and/or Autodesk Construction CloudUnderstanding of BIM, Revit and NavisworksKnowledge of critical power infrastructure from external supply to rack end circuitsBasics of HV/MV substations design and interfaces with Utilities/buildingsKnowledge of building and fire codes including IEC standards10-15% travel expected, potentially higher over timeBenefitsabove market total compensation packagehealth and welfare benefitsretirement planspaid leavetraining and development opportunitiesrecognition programs
