TXT e-Tech is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technical team for the management, optimization, and development of company databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational continuity, performance, and security of databases, collaborating with the development and testing teams to support the evolution of application systems.
Main responsibilities:
Manage and monitor MySQL and SQL Server databases, ensuring their availability, integrity, and performance;
Create and optimize stored procedures, queries, and scripts to improve system efficiency;
Support software development through database-oriented integration and programming activities (Java DB programming);
Perform database backups, restores, updates, and tuning activities;
Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure proper data management and the evolution of application systems.
Required technical skills:
Experience in managing MySQL and SQL Server databases;
In-depth knowledge of SQL, MySQL stored procedures, triggers, and query optimization;
Data design and modeling skills (ER modeling, normalization);
Java programming skills with a focus on database integration;
Knowledge of backup, recovery, and database security practices;
Familiarity with database monitoring and maintenance tools.
Optional technical skills:
Knowledge of automation scripts (Bash, Python, or similar);
Familiarity with versioning systems (Git) and Agile/DevOps methodologies;
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) or cloud-based solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL);
Good knowledge of technical English.
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
