We are currently seeking a Buyer for Indirect Procurement, reporting directly to Rome Operating center Head of Indirect Procurement, based in Rome, Italy. About the Job The main activities for this position are enquiring, negotiating, buying, and following purchasing categories (goods / services), to ensure that quality, cost effective products and services are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with the needs expressed by relevant departments across the T.EN businesses. - Experience in purchasing / procurement. - Demonstrable knowledge of the rules and principles of procurement. - Understanding of strategies and tools within the procurement discipline. - Knowledge of key category suppliers and the overall market. - Familiarity with commercial terms (POs / contracts) and terms & conditions. - Comprehension of local constraints & regulations. - Excellent negotiating skills. Role responsibilities and scope: - Participates in defining procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk and generate value, together with the Head of Indirect Procurement. - Assembles all information necessary for issuing an inquiry. - Expedites bids and conducts all negotiations with vendors. - Fulfils inquiries and purchasing activities within time and budget.
