Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Willingness to learn how to make homemade pastas and bread daily.
* Interested in learning how to cook with wood fire grills and ovens.
* Interested in performing whole animal butchery techniques.
* Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality cuisine for guests, complying with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
* Assume full responsibility for the quality of products served.
* Adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
* Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.
* Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including all cooking and refrigeration equipment.
* Prepare items using various cooking methods with proper techniques.
* Follow proper plate presentation and garnish standards.
* Assist in food prep during off-peak periods as needed.
* Properly close the kitchen following procedures and assist others in closing.
* Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in kitchen prep and line cooking.
* Basic professional cooking and knife skills.
* Knowledge of food costs.
* Understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling.
* Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to read and understand cooking directions.
* Clear communication with team members.
Physical Requirements:
* Constant standing and walking.
* Occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water.
* Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
* Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
* Frequent wrist, spine, and kitchen work movements.
* Constant oral communication and idea exchange.
