We're currently looking for a strategic Buyer to reinforce our Procurement Department.
As a Buyer in Danieli, you'll play a key role in shaping the success of our projects: from early-stage design to execution and supplier quality management, you'll contribute to ensuring profitability and maintaining our leadership in the global market.
Location: Buttrio (UD), Italy
Type of role : 100% on-site with flexibility and availability for frequent travel across Europe and worldwide.
Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you will manage the purchase of Danieli's machines and plants, driving competitiveness and efficiency across our Supply Chain. From supplier scouting to contract negotiation, you'll secure strategic and cost-effective deals aligned with our goals for quality, timing, and cost.
Main tasks include:
- End-to-end purchasing process: Define strategies, select the most suitable suppliers, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- RFQ management: Prepare technical documentation and tender instructions (closing dates, delivery terms, packaging, final destination, etc.).
- Negotiation & contract finalization: Analyze technical and commercial proposals, negotiate conditions, and finalize purchase orders.
- Vendor management: Monitor supplier performance, manage penalties, and support site teams during installation issues.
- Strategic initiatives: Develop purchasing strategies, scout new suppliers, plan forecasts, and build long-term partnerships.
Technical Requirements - What we're looking for:
- Mechanical Engineer degree or Technical Diploma;
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Supply Chain or Procurement in a similar role;
- Strong English language skills, written and verbal;
- Willingness to travel across Europe and beyond.
