We deliver simple and safe micro-reactor solutions that are scalable, affordable and deployable anywhere 1 Mwe at a time.You will be joining a fast-growing scaleup developing SOLO – a micro modular reactor – able to provide clean energy and radioisotopes where it is needed. You will be supporting the reactor licensing process in the US at first. You will drive the recruiting, onboarding and retention of the teams which will build, sell and deliver the first SOLOs to our clients.You will support the founding team to scaleup to a leading tech company supplying much needed energy solutions globally.This is a unique opportunity to join a high performance team developing a global energy solutions leader.What You Will Be Working OnThe Terra Innovatum IT System Administrator will:Oversee all IT systems, including on-premise servers, networks, and cloud platformsAdminister hardware and software, manage user accounts, groups, security permissions, and Group Policies, while performing routine audits for compliance and data protectionImplement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, security configurations, and vulnerability managementMonitor and report on cloud and on-premise system health, usage, and performance to support optimization and risk managementProcure and manage IT assets and software licensesProvide technical support to employeesWhat you will be in charge off:Hardware & System Management: Configure, administer, and maintain servers, workstations, PCs, and IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performanceNetwork Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsUser & Access Management: Manage user permissions, configure accounts, and enforce security policies, including Microsoft 365 and Box environmentsBackup & Replication: Implement and maintain backup and replication solutions to ensure data reliability and business continuityTechnical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for IT-related issues, assist employees with system problems, deliver training, resolve help desk tickets, and onboard new staff on systems and Microsoft 365 toolsRequirements3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT roleStrong knowledge of Linux and Windows server environmentsGood to strong knowledge of high-availability infrastructure (VMware)Good to strong knowledge of Fortinet Next-Generation FirewallsExperience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PoliciesExperience with networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practicesStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issuesPlease note: For this position, candidates must be legally authorized to work in Italy. xpavfwm A strong preference will be given to candidates who are already based in Italy and available to work locally.
