Vanity Fair harnesses the tensions of modern life. /p h3bJob Description /b /h3 pLocation: Milano MI /p pbThe Role /b /p pCondé Nast Italy is looking for an experienced and open‑minded Culture News Editor to join the Editorial team of Vanity Fair. The role is responsible for producing culture‑related content news and innovative formats for the Vanity Fair brand. The role reports to the Digital Director of Vanity Fair Italy and will play a key role in helping shape Vanity Fairs voice and helping to execute the European Directors vision through the brand’s media. /p pbPrimary Responsibilities /b /p ul lipWrite and edit culture‑related stories for Vanity Fairs print and digital platforms from daily news hits to larger features and exclusives. /p /li lipWrite and edit culture‑related stories primarily for Vanity Fair Italia (digital and print) but also develop stories that can be used across the VF network (France, Spain, US, and UK). /p /li lipConceive, propose and develop innovative editorial formats and projects aligned with evolving audience behaviours and the brand’s business goals. /p /li lipStay abreast of any and all industry developments and news to ensure that coverage of culture across print and digital is both informed and unique. /p /li lipContribute to the social, digital and video strategy for the brand, whether ideating on projects, helping to propose or secure talent (along with The Talent Group). /p /li lipWork with the Deputy Editor in Chief, the Executive Digital Director and the Audience Development Manager to best leverage global syndication opportunities. /p /li lipAssign, edit and write daily content and manage a team of freelancers and writers. /p /li lipPropose, write and edit the other sections related stories for Vanity Fairs print and digital platforms from news hits to larger features and exclusives. /p /li /ul pbPrimary Skills Qualifications /b /p ul lip4 years of previous proven experience as an editor, journalist or content lead in News, Culture or Digital media. /p /li lipProfessional fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken. /p /li lipStrong editorial judgment and a solid understanding of current affairs, politics, culture and societal issues. /p /li lipExcellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines. /p /li lipInterest in the areas of Vanity Fair (News, Cinema, Culture, Lifestyle) and cross‑functional skills with respect to areas of journalism (Foreign, Economics, Politics, Science). /p /li lipExperience coordinating teams, managing editorial workflows and leading meetings or content planning sessions. /p /li lipAbility to mentor and develop journalistic talent, offering constructive guidance on content quality and direction. /p /li lipFamiliarity with digital publishing content management systems and multi‑platform distribution strategies. /p /li lipCreative mindset with the ability to envision and execute new editorial formats, events and partnerships. /p /li lipStrong organisational and communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach. /p /li /ul h3bWhat happens next /b /h3 pIf you are interested in this opportunity please apply below and we will review your application as soon as possible.
