General Position Description The Project Manager leads the project team and collaborates with Field Management to deliver safe, high-quality, profitable projects, exceeding budget estimates and improving profit margins. The role emphasizes client relations and employee development. Responsibilities include safety planning, client negotiations, risk management, cost estimation, contract management, and strategic project execution. The Project Manager also oversees the business aspects, including full P&L management and business development. Responsibilities Build and lead a high-performing team through attraction, assessment, mentoring, and retention of top talent. Enforce safety policies and address non-compliance among employees, subcontractors, and vendors. Promote communication and issue resolution through daily huddles to ensure efficient and profitable project execution. Develop and oversee the project schedule in collaboration with the Superintendent. Maximize cash flow by adhering to invoicing schedules and ensuring accurate documentation of receivables, change orders, and claims. Control labor and other costs to stay within budgets. Prepare and manage subcontracts, ensuring compliance and timely documentation. Estimate, price, and negotiate additional work and scope changes to optimize profits. Develop and maintain client relationships to generate new opportunities. Contribute to marketing and estimating activities, including capture planning and bid strategies. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen for security clearance requirements. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred). Proven track record of achievement and career progression. Minimum of five years’ experience managing similar projects, with federal experience preferred. Successful experience managing complex construction projects and subcontractors. Skilled in developing cost estimates, pricing change orders, and maximizing profits. Experience with project start-ups, subcontractor and vendor negotiations, and owner estimates. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Primavera P6. Physical Requirements Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of the jobsite in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, or stretching. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
