BUTLER - ANANTARA PALAZZO NAIADI ROME : WHY THIS JOB EXISTS To serve the needs of the business, our guests and our team members by ensuring that all guest rooms and suites, Public areas and Restaurants are well maintained and cleaned, providing professional customer service and care to the Hotel’s guests ensuring all requests are handled promptly and efficiently, and providing guests and employees with a safe and orderly environment. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day operations of the Butler department and assist in the forward planning of the department. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The key responsibilities for this position are : Ensure that all Suites are properly cleaned and maintained at all times, in line with the hotels Standard Operating Procedures related to these areas. Communicate all required and requested information to the relevant departments and individuals. Sound knowledge of key hotel operating systems Assist with checking of reservations for all suite guests ensuring that all requests and preferences are clearly shared with relevant departments and actioned as necessary. Communicating with our guests prior to arrival and after they depart to ensure that there is a seamless luxury experience Executing any guest request that is lawful Step in for the butlers when required Daily communication with our guests and staff alike To ensure that all our guests are well versed in the daily activities and offerings To accompany our guests to the hotel facilities when required. To promote our hotel in the best possible light To follow up on all of the guests pre bookings and bookings and ensue that they are clearly communicated to the guest and to the relevant departments To ensure you take care of your guests when they return to the hotel To assist, maintain and update all guests profiles and repeater guest history Where possible attend all arrival and departures to personally welcome guests to the hotel Be an Anantara Ambassador Work closely with the Concierge, F&B team and Spa team to provide a rounded luxury guests experience in the hotel and beyond To be available and answer all calls on your work mobile Ensure high levels of personal service Participate in training sessions when requested Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to, including a personal knowledge of the correct usage of all chemicals used in Housekeeping Ensure that lost and found articles are processed properly and that the correct logs are maintained Follow and recommend measures to minimize all wastage of materials and amenities are used in the department Ensuring security awareness throughout the hotel, reporting incidents to the appropriate Manager when warranted Ensure VIP requirements are met per our brand standards Ensure any special requests from guests are carried out and delivered on time exceeding guest’s expectations Report any damage or loss in a guest room immediately after being found To understand and accept any last minute changes such as early make-up OR Late check-out and make sure to double check the checked-out room before guest has departed from the hotel for any guest belonging left in the room and breakages of furniture, accessories etc. If anything found should be informed to Supervisor immediately for further action To undertake any other duties assigned from time to time by the manager To be aware of any functions held in the Hotel and all service information required from the butler team
