What Will You Do?

As a member of Smartness’ Sales Team for the Italian market, you will be part of a cohesive team whose goal is to make us the No. 1 Hospitality Software in the region. You will participate in both in-person and remote training sessions and support the sales team in expanding Smartness in the Italian market through the following activities:

- Sales negotiation: manage a busy schedule of online and in-person appointments with potential prospects, articulate and clearly demonstrate our value proposition, and create enthusiasm among prospects.
- Participation in trade fairs and events: attend 1-2 major national trade fairs per year and organize on-site meetings with customers where possible.
- Business development: proactively search for new opportunities through cold calling and cold emailing.
- Data analysis and reviews: develop analytical skills by reviewing your pipeline with the best sales tools available.
- Reaching the monthly target: aim to reach and exceed the ARR target with an incentivizing bonus plan.

What We’re Looking For

- Italian as a mother tongue.
- Good English skills at B2 level; we are an international company and you should be able to understand and interact with others effectively.
- Team player with a winning mentality: consistently exceed 100% of the monthly quota and help colleagues do the same.
- Data-driven thinking: ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decisions and improve strategies.
- Desire to learn: willingness to receive on-the-field coaching and read books to improve sales skills; training may be in-person or remote.
- Experience in the role: at least 6–12 months in a SaaS/software/services sales team with strong performance against targets.
- Organization: attention to detail, disciplined planning, and timely CRM updates.
- Productivity: motivation to sell into the SME market and manage short, intense sales cycles.
