Apply now and join us in shaping the future of space. /ppbRole focus /b: D-Orbit is looking for a Product Assurance Manager to join our growing Quality and Product Assurance group, with responsibility for the product assurance and safety of the platforms of D-Orbit. Within this team, you will drive the quality of the assigned business line and related projects composed by both platforms and services. You will report to the Head of Product Assurance. The Product Assurance Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of product assurance and the related safety engineering and management program of the entire cycle of the assigned projects/products. You will carry out technological research (RD) in the fields of PAS management, techniques, methodologies and tools. You will collaborate in standardization and training activities. In particular, this position has a strong focus on avionic systems and equipment. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPrepare and implement general and project-specific programmatic and technical documentation as well as requirements starting from the applicable product and quality assurance baseline. /liliResponsible for preparing PA documentation for proposals of the assigned platform. /liliResponsible for estimations (duration and resource profile) of PA involvement in proposals / new internal projects. /liliPerform tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements. /liliManage Product Assurance deliverables status within specific projects and related RIDs and AIs from the Customer. /liliEnsure compliance of products and services with respect to internal and external standards and requirements. /liliManage quality related user stories for the assigned business line. /liliSupport technology roadmaps managing quality aspects. /liliWork in synergy with PA Engineering team providing PAS guidance. /liliWork in synergy with project leading team providing PAS guidance. /liliCoordinate and review the work of PAS experts on specific projects. /liliMonitor and report about subcontractor and supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this includes auditing activities. /liliSupport the establishment and the implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field. /liliSupport the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects. /liliManage non-conformances through root cause analysis and be NRB chairperson. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliAt least 5 years of proven experience in managing space product assurance activities in multiple complex projects, experience with institutions is required. /liliExperience in leading PAS topics within Space projects with strong focus on avionic systems. /liliExperience working with Space institutional customers. /liliExperience working within a quality assurance environment. /liliExperience in the technical domains covered by the position. /liliExperience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general. /liliExperience with EN9100 standard. /liliExperience working with requirements management tool. /li /ulh3PA Manager skills /h3ulliManaging capabilities. /liliAbility to set plans and manage related tasks to comply with project schedule. /liliAbility to communicate clearly and effectively. /liliCapability of working in autonomy as well as in team. /liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment. /liliAbility to work in a team setting to meet tight schedules. /liliMentoring capabilities. /liliKnowledge of configuration management, quality auditing or certification is considered a plus. /li /ulh3Education /h3pBachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant engineering area. /ph3Language /h3pFull professional proficiency in the English language. /ppLocation: Mendrisio, Ticino, Switzerland.
