Job Description
DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Reinsurance Center of Excellence.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-impact solutions across our global reinsurance platforms, including DXC Assure Reinsurance and SICS.
Responsibilities
* Lead technical architecture and infrastructure setup for reinsurance implementations.
* Provide guidance on API integration, data migration, and cloud hosting (AWS or Microsoft Azure).
* Implement, deploy, and maintain DXC software on-premise or in SaaS environments for clients.
* Support business intelligence reporting and analytics development.
* Analyse customer workflows to propose improvements and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
* Design and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data accuracy.
* Manage databases for data manipulation, reporting, and optimization.
* Develop and execute test cases to validate system functionality and ensure data integrity.
* Prepare comprehensive documentation, including workflows, user guides, and technical specifications.
Education & Skills
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field) - or equivalent experience.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
* Strong experience with relational databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
* Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python.
* Familiarity with DevOps and containerisation tools - is nice to have: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of automation tools and techniques to improve internal and client processes.
* Understanding of AI and Gen AI to enhance delivery efficiency.
* Experience with reporting and integration tools: SAP BI, Pentaho, Talend, Jira, Apache Tomcat, MS PowerBI, MS PowerApps.
