Location:Gallarate, Italy Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Direct reports: IRCA Italy HSE Manager (managing 3 people) Functional reports: Plant HSE Managers out of the perimeter IRCA Italy Overseeing and enhancing our HSE initiatives in the following key production locations: Gallarate (IT), Verona (IT), Bronte (IT), Tilburg (NL), Kessel (BE), York (UK), Peterborough (UK), Anneyron (FR), Hocheim am Main (DE) Your tasks in detail: - Drive the implementation of EHS strategies, emphasizing behavioral-based safety and EHS culture transformation. - Analyze incident causal factors and trends to develop and execute initiatives targeting accident causal factors, vulnerabilities, and trends. - Foster a preventive culture and approach. - Engage in internal benchmarking to identify best practices and contribute to the development and implementation of EHS performance standards. - Stay updated on regulatory requirements and oversee the approval and tracking of EHS strategic initiatives. - Provide accident investigation and hazard recognition training across all levels, while coaching leaders in fulfilling EHS responsibilities. - Contribute to defining EHS performance scorecard targets and provide regular reports. - Conduct routine visits to all European plants to assess policies, practices, and EHS conditions and engage with employees. - Prepare for and participate in EHS audits, including defining remediation action plans as necessary. - Support the integration of all EMEA plants into a unified EHS vision and culture. Qualification requirements: - Possess a minimum of 10 years of working experience, with extensive expertise in specialized EHS technology. - Demonstrate a track record in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001. - Proven experience in navigating complex manufacturing environments. - Exhibit effective communication skills across all organizational levels, from management to production workers. - Showcase strong analytical skills and a creative mindset for continuous improvement initiatives. - Demonstrated proficiency in coaching and training. - Embrace a people-oriented approach. - Display a high willingness to travel within Europe. - Fluent in Italian and English, and with the flexibility to primarily work in Gallarate (Italy) to complete your profile.
