Full time, not remote. /p h3Company Overview /h3 pHitachi Rail is a fully integrated global provider of rail solutions across rolling stock, signaling, service maintenance, digital technology, and turnkey. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liSupport and coordinate bid and project development of technical design of system /li liDefine conceptual solution of equipment integration on vehicles /li liPrepare system requirement specifications of a mechanical system /li liAnalyze suppliers' technical proposals /li liCheck technical description of the system /li liVerify drawings/documents (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installation/integration on board /li liCheck FEM analysis report /liliAnalyze tolerance concept integration /li liPrepare/verify performance test specification /li liSupport during system type tests /li liSupport during the on‑board integration test /li liConduct design review with clients and suppliers /li /ul h3Required Skills Knowledge /h3 ul liDegree in Mechanical Engineering /li liAt least 3 years experience in the railway or mechanical industry as Vehicle Engineer or mechanical integrator /li liGood knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schemes, bolted and riveted connections /li liBasic knowledge of electrics and mechanics /li liProficiency with office software (Word, Excel, etc.) /li liProficiency with mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.) and IBM DOORS /li liKnowledge of engineering processes and railway operations /li liAbility to work effectively with all organization levels and provide constructive ideas /li liReadiness to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced, multitasking international environment /li liAbility to work autonomously in teams and on projects /li liAvailability for short‑term national and international business trips /li /ul h3Desired Skills Knowledge /h3 ul liAbility to manage plan assigned tasks independently and work in a team /li liAnalytical thinking, problem‑solving, and business process analysis /li liAbility to interact with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, partners) /li liPlanning organizational skills /li liVersatile learning aptitude, desire to stay updated on technology and industry practices /li liStrong business acumen technical skills /li liGood communication interpersonal skills /li liAttitude for an international and multicultural environment /li /ul h3Education Qualifications /h3 pDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background. /p h3Languages /h3 pGood knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
