The company Lloyds Register Applied Technology Group is seeking a qualified professional to join their team based in North-East Italy. The role primarily involves assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets, using established procedures, personal experience, and technical knowledge suited to routine situations.
A key focus of the position will be conducting classification and statutory surveys for ships in service. Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively support the service delivery team contributing to the success of the Marine & Offshore and LR as a whole.
* Survey at equipment manufacturer's works for both verification and certification requirements.
* Provide technical assistance, as requested, to Marine & Offshore Surveyors in other operating regions.
* Control of 'management of change' processes for a variety of clients.
* Prepare/Review Performance Standards and Written Schemes of Verification.
* Support opportunities for business in the local area.
* Provide good control of assigned work, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting.
* Take an active role in all work in the area, proactively managing contracts with a focus on service delivery, retention and developing client relationships.
* Work closely with colleagues from other departments and business streams, encouraging collaboration and supporting business interests.
Requirements:
* Be safe in what you do, living and promoting Lloyd's Register's safety culture.
* Degree-qualified surveyor, however, candidates with other qualifications and relevant industrial experience will be considered.
* A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
* Sufficient knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical
* Preferred but not necessary: Experience of verification and/or class, statutory and engineering experience with a working knowledge of international codes and standards
* A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience.
