The business is now looking to hire an Account Executive to develop and grow the Italian market.Job OverviewReporting into the Commercial Director, you will take ownership for building relations with new clients & existing clients across the Italian market. You will be responsible for driving new business development, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets by selling a suite of software solutions to the CPG industry.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full sales cycle — from marketing-qualified lead to signed contract and handover — including value proposition delivery, objection handling, negotiation, and long-term client relationship management.Drive commercial growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with manufacturers and distributors, as well as upselling within existing accounts.Develop tailored proposals and manage budgets to align with customer needs and business objectives.Present products and deliver demos to prospective clients, ensuring a clear understanding of product value and fit.Maintain accurate CRM records of clients, prospects, partners, and sales data to support pipeline management and performance tracking.Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing to align communication strategies with market needs and strengthen lead generation efforts.Monitor market trends within the FMCG and distribution landscape to inform commercial strategy and identify emerging opportunities.Represent the company at industry events and actively build networks with key stakeholders.Continuously improve internal tools and databases, such as country profiles and partner directories, to enhance market intelligence and operational efficiency.RequirementsA wealth of experience in the FMCG sector – either selling to this sector or working in the industry.Proven experience in an end to end sales role where you have taken ownership for the entire sales cycle.Experience covering the Italian market.Italian and English language skills Preferred experience working for a software companyDemonstrated curiosity and eager to learn and explore new functional territoriesExcellent communication/presentation, and negotiation skills and ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.
