Mission
The Railway System Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing railway systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role involves system-level thinking, covering rolling stock, signaling, infrastructure, power supply, and communication systems.
Key Accountabilities
* Defining and managing railway system requirements, system architecture, interaction between subsystems (rolling stock, signaling, tracks, power supply).
* Selecting appropriate technologies and configurations for new rail projects.
* Ensuring interoperability between different railway subsystems, interfaces between rolling stock, signaling, and infrastructure.
* Validating system compatibility across national and international railway networks (e.g., ERTMS, CBTC, PTC).
* Enhancing railway system efficiency in terms of capacity, energy consumption, and operational reliability.
* Ensuring railway systems adhere to the performance and characteristics required by the project requirements, standards, laws, etc.
* Defining and monitoring the execution of the V&V plan.
* Managing railway system upgrades and modernization projects.
* Supporting asset management and maintenance planning to maximize system longevity.
* Implementing IoT, AI, and Big Data solutions for predictive maintenance and automation.
