Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our Fulfilment Center (FC) in Cranbourne. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long‑term improvements to reduce downtime.
This is a permanent night shift position. The shift pattern is based on business need, and rotates every 6 months from Wednesday to Saturday | Sunday to Wednesday (10 hour shifts, 4 days per week). This role is entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.

* Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
* Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
* Implement long‑term solutions to reduce future downtime
* Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
* Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
A day in the life
Our RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. As an RME Technician, you’ll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long‑term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day‑to‑day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

Our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We’re a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of Fulfilment Centres, Sortation Centres, and Delivery Stations.
Basic Qualifications
* Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Certificate III in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
* Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
* Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
* Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
* Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
* Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with CMMS systems
* Experience with sortation machines
* Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
* Experience with print and apply machines
