Job Summary
For our Strategic Sourcing division we are looking for a Procurement Manager who will select, manage and coordinate suppliers to meet company goals in regards to quality, delivery and cost. The candidate will also implement accurate processes for evaluating supplier proposals and adopting strategic competition approaches.
Responsibilities
- Develop a qualified mix of best‑cost countries and local/regional supply base to support current and anticipated material requirements for new products and existing portfolio.
- Support sourcing activities related to procurement of goods and/or materials, including source selection and price/lead time benchmarking and negotiation.
- Interact across New Product Development, Innovation to Value (I2V), and price‑productivity projects, meeting critical deadlines to support new product launches and cost targets.
- Drive cost‑out opportunities by negotiating with current supplier base and scouting source‑change opportunities in line with corporate goals.
- Work with category teams and key plant functions to implement a process‑driven and seamless introduction of new suppliers and effective management of existing ones.
- Match new parts to be purchased with best‑in‑class suppliers through item enrichment, lead time and cost to support production timelines.
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers to support corporate goals in terms of net working capital.
- Support reporting activities, analyzing price differences for purchased parts.
- Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA (or international equivalent) in a technical or business major.
- 5–7 years of experience in a buyer role, preferably in the industrial sector.
- Technical background preferred.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
