We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Mainstream for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Como Secondary College (SC) is driven by the belief that every student is capable of successful learning. The College is an Independent Public School catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12, and is located less than 6 kilometres from the centre of Perth with easy access to major transport hubs, universities and cultural attractions.
The Role
Education Assistants, Mainstream, work in collaboration with College staff to promote an inclusive learning environment that caters for students with diverse needs. You will work under teacher direction, assisting students in achieving their full potential through the creation and preparation of resources and through the implementation of specialised education programmes, including one‑on‑one or small‑group intervention sessions.
Suitable applicants will be timetabled to specific students or classes and will work with classroom teachers to determine how best to adjust instruction and activities to support student access to the learning programme. Effective communication and collaboration with teaching staff to plan individual learning goals are highly desirable. Flexibility, initiative, a willingness to reflect on practice, to receive feedback and to contribute expertise are essential.

Eligibility
