They receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They are responsible for loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations. /p pThis position involves frequent lifting of materials and products. Logistics Specialists are required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company. /p pWe are seeking candidates who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Safety Operational Excellence. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liReviewing Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. /li liWorking with the Logistics Manager to create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns. /li liWorking closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. /li liCollaborating with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. /li liResponsible for data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations. /li liMaintaining up-to-date metrics dashboards and creating reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required. /li liAssembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials. /li liAssisting in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. /li liKeeping precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company. /li /ul h3Safety /h3 pLogistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high levels of quality. /p h3Physical requirements /h3 ul liManual handling and lifting of equipment required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) /li liHandling incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents /li liWork in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pDiverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
