Ph3Logistics Specialist- People with Disability (PWD) /h3 pJob ID: | Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. /p pAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain—and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. /p pLogistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities. They receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They are responsible for loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations. /p pThis position involves frequent lifting of materials and products. Logistics Specialists are required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company. /p pWe are seeking candidates who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Safety Operational Excellence. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liReviewing Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. /li liWorking with the Logistics Manager to create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns. /li liWorking closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. /li liCollaborating with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. /li liResponsible for data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations. /li liMaintaining up-to-date metrics dashboards and creating reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required. /li liAssembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials. /li liAssisting in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. /li liKeeping precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company. /li /ul h3Safety /h3 pLogistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high levels of quality. /p h3Physical requirements /h3 ul liManual handling and lifting of equipment required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) /li liHandling incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents /li liWork in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pDiverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
