The Role Our client, a mid-sized fast-growing European packaging manufacturer backed by a leading mid-market private equity fund, is seeking an experienced CEO to drive performance, scalability, and operational transformation across its group. The business operates at the forefront of sustainable packaging with an ambitious growth strategy, combining organic expansion with selective acquisitions. With two major production sites in Italy and a strong customer base across food and consumer goods, the company is entering a new phase of industrial and organisational development under a recently appointed Group CEO. The divisional will be accountable for unlocking capacity, driving continuous improvement, stabilising systems and processes, and leading cultural transformation across multiple sites across Italy. The Location Italy The Salary €250,000 Reference EG1004 Key Responsibilities Lead multi-site operations across Italy and Germany with full P&L responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. Drive throughput, OEE, and yield improvements; identify and debottleneck production lines to increase capacity from €50m to €80m. Implement operational excellence initiatives: cost control, lean processes, continuous improvement, and new materials/formats innovation. Manage union relations with credibility and gravitas; rebuild middle-management capability and strengthen leadership culture. Candidate Profile 10 years in senior operations leadership, ideally in packaging, process industries, or other industrial manufacturing environments. Proven experience in multi-site management with strong track record of scaling operations profitably. Expertise in continuous improvement, production optimisation, and implementing lean practices. Strong understanding of European labour relations and experience in managing complex union environments. Languages: Fluent Italian and English required; German highly desirable. J-18808-Ljbffr
