Role Summary The Creative Services Director for VML Health EU Hub is a pivotal role responsible for driving creative excellence, operational efficiency, and fostering a collaborative and innovative creative environment. This role requires a dynamic and highly organized individual with a passion for healthcare communications and a proven track record of managing creative resources, processes, and initiatives. The Creative Services Director will be a key partner to the EU Hub's creative leadership, helping to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of outstanding work that goes beyond client expectations and moves our business, and the industry, forward.This role will also be responsible for championing the VML Health brand, culture, and values within the creative team. Key Responsibilities Creative Operations & Resource Management: Oversee the allocation, management and utilisation of our diverse and EU-wide creative talent (e.g., designers, copywriters, art directors) across multiple global and local accounts and projects. Develop and implement streamlined workflows and processes to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks throughout the creative department. Work with project management and account teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project timelines, deliverables, and resource needs. Manage staffing requests (holidays, freelance, etc.) within the creative department to ensure continuity of project resourcing. Implement and manage creative tools and technologies (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, project management software) to enhance creative output and collaboration, as well as identifying where new tools could help. Creative Production Excellence & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare communications. Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team. Support the creative teams with creative production and liaise with external and internal suppliers where necessary. Partner with creative leadership to develop and implement creative training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team. Champion the VML Health EU Hub brand and creative standards across all projects. Internal Communications, Collaboration and Change Management: Develop and execute internal communications strategies to keep the creative team informed about agency news, initiatives, and successes. Organize and facilitate creative team meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the agency, including account management, digital, strategy, and medical teams. Act as a liaison between the creative team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Talent Development & Management: Partner with HR and the Global ECD to identify and address talent gaps within the creative team. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new creative team members. New Business & Marketing Support: Collaborate with the new business team to develop compelling creative presentations and pitch materials. Curate and showcase the agency's best creative work for pitches, presentations, and the VML Health website and social channels. Work with the Global ECD to develop case studies that highlight the impact and effectiveness of the agency's creative work. Work with the marketing team to identify opportunities for creative PR coverage and thought leadership. Desired Skills and Experience Excellent Connector: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A natural collaborator who can bridge the gap between different departments and personalities. Experience: Extensive experience in a creative services role within a marketing or advertising agency, preferably with a focus on healthcare. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage teams. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively. Growth mindset: Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, with the agility to navigate change and embrace ambiguity. Additional Details/Specific Information Experience working in a matrixed organization is essential. A passion for healthcare and a desire to make a difference in people's lives.
