We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Compliance Officer to ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The role reports directly to the Chief HR and Legal Officer.Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee the company's compliance program to ensure adherence to EU regulations and international standards, including the UK Bribery Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Monitor and analyse regulatory developments and changes in the industry to update company policies and procedures accordingly.
Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify potential risks, ensuring compliance with GDPR, environmental policies, and other relevant regulations.
Provide expertise in sustainability initiatives, integrating compliance with sustainable business practices.
Work closely with relevant departments to provide guidance on regulatory and compliance-related issues, including risk management and mitigation strategies.
Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and implement Know Your Supplier process to ensure effective risk management and robust third party due diligence.
Conduct training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of compliance requirements, including anti-bribery and corruption policies.
Investigate compliance breaches and collaborate with legal and other departments to resolve issues.
Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on compliance risks and issues.
Manage external supplier relationships with key providers of screening and due diligence servicesRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CCO) is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, in-house experience will be highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of EU regulations, UK Bribery Act, FCPA, GDPR, and international compliance standards.
Expertise in sustainability practices and risk management.
Experience in managing KYC processes and supplier risk assessments.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse, global team environment.
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to promoting a culture of compliance.
Fluency in English - knowledge of Italian would be considered as a plus.Candidates not in line with the requirements will not be considered.
