Field Service Engineer – PLC Specialist
We are seeking a skilledField Service Engineerto join our team atIMI Remosa, the world leader in the design and manufacture ofvalves and hydraulic actuation systems for critical applicationsin thepetrochemicalindustry.
IMI Remosa supports industrial projects worldwide, providing advanced solutions for the control and automation of complex systems in high-stakes environments.
The ideal candidate is ready for frequent international travel, with assignments ranging from a minimum of 1 week up to 2 months.
In exceptional cases, assignments may exceed 2 months, although this is rare.
On average, the role involves approximately210 days per year spent onsite.
Please note thatthis role involves working exclusively in the field at our clients' locations around the world, and there is no fixed office location.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and maintenance onelectrohydraulic control systemscontrolled byPLCs, cabinets, and control loops.
Strong focus on PLC programming and management: you will be expected to handle and program PLCs from leading manufacturers such asRockwellandSiemens, as well as troubleshoot and optimize control systems.
Interpret and work withelectrical, hydraulic, and P&ID; schematics, with a solid understanding ofelectroinstrumentation principles, to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
Work with industrial communication networks includingProfinet,Profibus,Modbus, andEthernet.
Operate effectively under pressure, adapting to challenging onsite environments and schedules.
Collaborate with international teams, communicating technical issues and solutions clearly inEnglish.
Requirements:
Proven experience in field service or similar roles in industrial environments, with astrong background in PLC programmingandelectroinstrumentation.
Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and P&ID; schematicsas well as a good grasp ofelectroinstrumentation basics.
Familiarity with communication protocols:Profinet,Profibus,Modbus,Ethernet.
Hands-on experience withPLC/HMI programming(Rockwell, Siemens preferred).
Ability to travel extensively (approximately 210 days/year).
Excellent stress management and problem-solving skills.
Good command ofItalianandEnglish, both written and spoken.
