Overview
The Senior Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate and timely financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls. This role includes managing daily accounting transactions, supporting month-end close activities, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audits and reporting requirements. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and confident in working across multiple finance processes.
Main activities
* Process and book accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
* Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
* Support the preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments, and deferred revenue
* Maintain fixed asset records, including creation and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts
* Perform regular balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
* Process purchase orders and coordinate with internal stakeholders
* Support the month-end close and preparation of financial statements
* Assist with audit preparation and respond to external auditor queries
* Contribute to the preparation of documentation for tax or regulatory reporting
* Support accounts payable cycle and help ensure timely vendor payments
Desired qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
* Master’s degree is advantageous
* Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar accounting role
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
* Experience with accounting software or ERP systems, Netsuite is a plus
* Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
* Familiarity with internal controls and audit practices is beneficial
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR B2+)
