About the job The Ventilation System Expert is responsible for the coordination and execution of projects related to the development of new ventilation systems, including electric motors, blowers and impellers. The role acts, as a key technical reference, in defining product development strategies with a strong impact on business performance, product competitiveness and innovation roadmap. This role will be based in Fabriano (AN) - Italy, and reports to the Head of Global Functional Components. Your tasks - Lead the design and development of new ventilation systems, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholder requirements, regulatory constraints and market trends; - Manage projects across all development phases, from concept generation and feasibility assessment through execution, validation and industrial phase-in; - Drive Design-to-Cost and Design-for-Standardization initiatives aimed at reducing product cost, complexity and variability across current and future product platforms; - Collaborate closely with Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions to improve product robustness, resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives; - Define and oversee validation and qualification test plans to ensure compliance with performance, reliability, timing and cost targets; - Coordinate technical activities with external partners and suppliers in co-design and co-development projects; - Actively contribute to cross-functional teams in defining the product and technology strategic roadmap; - Ensure effective and structured communication of project status, risks and results to internal and external stakeholders. Requirements - Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline; - At least 5 years of relevant experience in R&D; in similar roles; - Experience working in cross-functional and international teams is considered a strong advantage; - Strong expertise in electric motor design, with in-depth knowledge of motor technologies used in household appliances, including BLDC motors,capacitor motors and shaded pole motors; - Solid technical background in CFD analysis applied to complete ventilation systems (motor, blower, impeller and system integration); - Proven ability to apply system-level thinking to optimize performance, efficiency, noise and reliability; - Strong orientation toward continuous improvement in test execution, test setup optimization and test data management (reports, databases and documentation); - Familiarity with international standards and regulatory requirements related to electric motors and ventilation systems; - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured approach to project execution; - Ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities in a dynamic environment; - Effective communication skills at both technical and managerial levels; - Fluent English and Italian (spoken & written). Other languages are a plus; - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project (or similar).
