This includes directing and organizing daily tasks for Landscape Crew Members and performing labor involved in installing design elements. Specializations may include hardscapes, planting, grading, irrigation, or aquatics. /pullistrongSite Management: /strong Direct, organize, and oversee all aspects of landscape construction sites to ensure quality and timely completion. /lilistrongLeadership: /strong Lead by example, providing guidance to Crew Members regarding company policies and procedures such as attendance, conduct, and dress code. /lilistrongProblem-Solving: /strong Identify and resolve issues at the work site, consulting with the Production Coordinator or Production Manager as needed. /lilistrongPreparation: /strong Ensure daily preparation of trucks and equipment, loading and securing necessary materials. /lilistrongPlanting: /strong Perform planting of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials, as well as installation of wood and stone mulch. /lilistrongInstallation: /strong Install hardscape, water features, lighting, and irrigation systems, including retaining walls, boulders, wall stone, and pavers. /lilistrongLabor Tasks: /strong Perform all installation tasks such as digging, shoveling, raking, sweeping, pruning, watering, stone picking, and debris clearing. /lilistrongEquipment Operation: /strong Operate equipment like trucks, Bobcats, compactors, trenchers, masonry saws, etc. /lilistrongTool Use: /strong Use hand tools such as wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, picks, brooms, etc. /lilistrongWinter Duties: /strong Assist with snow removal during winter months as needed. /lilistrongSafety Compliance: /strong Ensure team’s adherence to safety policies and procedures at all times. /li /ulpstrongWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements /strong /pullistrongOutdoor Work: /strong Primarily outdoors during all seasons. /lilistrongWeather Exposure: /strong Exposure to rain, snow, heat, or cold. /lilistrongNoise Levels: /strong Moderate noise, with hearing protection required for equipment operation. /lilistrongChemical Exposure: /strong Possible exposure to chemicals and fertilizers. /li /ulpstrongSchedule /strong /pullistrongPeak Season Hours: /strong Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (40-55 hours/week), with Saturday as needed during April to November. /lilistrongPosition Type: /strong Full-time seasonal. /lilistrongOvertime: /strong Occasional, depending on workload. /lilistrongWinter Hours: /strong Vary December through March based on snow removal needs. /li /ulpstrongSkills You Will Need /strong /pullistrongExperience: /strong 3-5 years in landscape construction. /lilistrongLeadership: /strong Previous foreman or crew leader experience preferred. /lilistrongDriver’s License: /strong Valid US Driver’s License required; CDL helpful but not required. /lilistrongEquipment Operation: /strong Experience with loaders, bobcats, skid steers is helpful but not required. /lilistrongDesign Interpretation: /strong Ability to read and interpret design plans. /lilistrongPlant Knowledge: /strong Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and landscape products. /lilistrongSkills: /strong Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful but not required. /li /ulpstrongOther Benefits /strong /ppThe Bruce Company offers competitive pay, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement benefits, PTO, and more, in a team-oriented environment. /ppJoin our team of outdoor living experts and discover why many employees choose to build lifelong careers with us.
